Alan Jackson wasn't wearing his Nashville Predators fandom on his sleeve. He was wearing it on his guitar.
With a customized acoustic guitar emblazoned with the Predators logo, Jackson played to a standing room only crowd outside Bridgestone Arena before Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Grammy Award winner and Country Music Hall of Famer played a free concert as part of the "Broadway Smash: Preds Party with a Purpose" festivities prior to the first Stanley Cup Final game in the city's history.
"This is an exciting time for the Predators and the city of Nashville," Jackson said on his website. "As a fan, I'm proud to be included in their road to the Stanley Cup."
Fans tweeted videos and pictures of the packed streets and rooftops that came out to hear the country legend. Over 50,000 people showed up downtown, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Jackson, fresh off his Honky Tonk Highway Tour, even updated his Twitter profile picture to the Predators "Stand With Us" logo used throughout the Stanley Cup playoffs.
